Notice: Mandatory Water Conservation

As of 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 16, 2025, there is a mandatory water conservation in effect for the Township of Hornepayne due to burst pipes at the water treatment plant facility. 

The community's water is currently limited to what is available in the water tower. 

The Township and the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) are working to repair the damage as quickly as possible. 

Update (4:35 p.m.)

The Township and OCWA have located the required parts. It is estimated that the parts will arrive within the next two hours, and the repair will be completed thereafter. An update will be added once the parts have arrived. 

Update (6:35 p.m.)

The parts have arrived and the repairs are being completed. An update will be added once the repairs are complete and the water conservation is no longer required. 

Update (7:10 p.m.)

The repairs have been completed and the water conservation is no longer in effect.
