Recognizing
that not one solution works for everybody, the Township has recently expanded
its options for payment which include:
· * Cash
· * Cheques (current,
post-dated, mail-in)
· * Interac (Debit,
Visa, MasterCard)
· * Online Banking
(Northern Credit Union, CIBC, Scotiabank, TD Canada Trust)
For your convenience, you can pay your Property Tax and Water
& Sewer bills via online banking if you hold accounts with either of the financial institutions listed below. Payments can be made at any time, in
full or in part, and can also be pre-set to automatically to come out of your bank
account on a regular schedule and amount of your choosing (this needs to be set up with your institution).
Each financial
institution has its own system when it comes to the way account numbers must be
entered but every ratepayer will be using a form of his/her Roll number as
found on the respective bills as the basis for entry. If in doubt, please contact the Municipal
Office and our staff will gladly provide you with the appropriate account
number.

Leaving
post-dated cheques in our fire-proof locked cabinet is also another way to
ensure regular payments are applied. This will ease the pressure of having to
pay large lump sums on due dates.
Of course, we are always happy to serve you in person during
our regular office hours.
Should you wish to discuss payment options further, please
contact Client Services Manage/Treasurer, Melissa Chenier at (807) 868-2020 x 204 or at chenier.hpayne@bellnet.ca.
