Spring Clean Up

We encourage residents to help beautify our community by cleaning their neighbourhood roadsides and ditches of debris. Garbage bags are available at the Public Works garage entrance located at 18 Becker Road.  Please take this opportunity to do your part in cleaning up our community.

Week 1: Take It or Leave It
Monday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 28th, 2023 

Landfill open regular hours this week Tuesday, Thursday to Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Leave reusable items at your curbside for others to take.
  • Items left at curbside after May 28th will be removed during week 2. Contact the town hall to schedule a pick-up. 
  • Regular tipping fees this week. 

Week 2: Clean-Up Week 
Monday, May 29th to Sunday, June 4th, 2023 

Landfill open 7 days during this week, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Leave items on curbside for pick up (contact the town hall prior to Friday, June 2nd to schedule a pick-up) or bring to the landfill yourself. 
  • No tipping fees this week.

Important things to remember: 

  • All similar items must be bundled together (metal with metal, wood with wood etc.) or items will not be picked up.
  • Derelict vehicles and tires are not picked up by the Township.
  • Tipping fee exemption does not apply to the disposal of derelict buildings or commercial operations.
  • Refrigerators and freezers will be picked up only if freon has been removed and the appliances have been tagged by a qualified person. 

The “RECYCLE YOUR ELECTRONICS” bin is still available at the landfill site for any electronics you may wish to drop off.
